Dit is weer 's een Ace Combat zoals die hoort te zijn en niet zoals de Assault Horizon versie op de console. Het 3D effect is leuk, maar in hectische gevechten houdt je de 3DS nog wel eens scheef waardoor het beeld wazig wordt. Verder jammer dat je wederom alles per vliegtuig moet unlocken en alle vliegtuigen moet kopen (waar je in de eerste playthrough nooit genoeg geld voor hebt). Wat dan wel weer grappig is, is om de laatste missie tegen F22A's te vechten in een propeller vliegtuig.
