Sublieme superheldenfilm
Aan het begin van 2011 was het dan eindelijk zover, een nieuw deel in de reeks van X-men verfilmingen. Deze keer neemt regisseur ons terug naar 1962, de start van het verhaal voor professor Charles Xavier (subliem vertolkt door James McAvoy). Voor de gemiddelde kijker is de film zeker de moeite waard door de vele indrukwekkende scenes en het goede verhaal. Voor de kijker die daarnaast nog een band heeft met superhelden en de X-men in het bijzonder is dit verhaal een deel wat tot op heden onverfilmd is gebleven, namelijk de start van het verhaal! De film zelf weet de aandacht goed vast te houden en de dreigende uitbraak van een derde wereldoorlog weer de kijker gedurende de hele film op het puntje van zijn stoel te houden. Dit mede door het goede acteerwerk van James McAcoy, Michael Fassbender (als Magneto) en de beeldschone Jennifer Lawrence als Raven. Een absolute aanrader voor iemand die een interessante film wilt kijken over hoe meningsverschillen kunnen leiden tot een gezamelijk doel maar een andere weg die daarheen leidt. Voor de fans van X-Men een absolute must om te bezitten. Verreweg de meest diepgaande X-Men film tot op het heden!
