Based on Mark Millar's cult comic book, the 2010 movie Kick Ass, is billed to do just that!

The story: A comic-book fanboy decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a superhero, (with no actual super powers).

His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including the 11 year old Hit Girl and her father, Big Daddy.
