The Last Time I Saw Paris Charles Wills (Van Johnson), a reporter in Paris covering the end of World War II falls in love with the stunning Helen Ellswirth (Elizabeth Taylor) following a brief affair with her sister, Marion (Donna Reed). After Charles and Helen marry, Charles pursues his ambition of being an author whilst supporting Helen with an awful job at a newspaper wire service. An old investment miraculously makes them into a wealthy family, their marriage begins to unfold and a catastrophe changes everything. Divorce His, Divorce Hers Living in Rome, Jane (Elizabeth Taylor) and Martin Reynolds (Richard Burton) come to the distressing end of a long marriage. The collapsing relationship is presented firstly from Martin s view point, and then the story is told from Jane s. They are a couple with very contrasting demands. Martin is a businessman who is evasive and indifferent, and Jane will do absolutely anything to get his consideration. Eventually the relationship skirts on malice as he bores of her scheming. Jane is increasingly embittered with his lack of attention and her dull life.
