PlayStation Move
The PlayStation move takes motion-sensing gaming to the next level. True 1:1, sub-millimeter tracking puts gamers into the virtual world of the PS3 and allows them to interact with the environment as if the objects were in their own living room. The controller uses the PlayStation Eye Camera in conjunction with the light emitting "orb" atop the controller to calculate your position in three-dimensional space. As the orb can change colour, multiple controllers can be tracked simultaneously.

The orb can also be used to enhance in-game actions, for instance changing to red when using a "fire spell". The controller will feature traditional buttons, including a trigger, for those actions which motion-sensing will not capture, such as firing a gun. The possibilities for the motion controller range from simplifying the user-interface of a real-time strategy (selection and commands) to true sword fighting in your favourite role-playing game.

High definition gaming with the PlayStation Move and PlayStation Camera
PlayStation Move offers a motion-based, High Definition gaming experience unlike anything on the market. The PlayStation Move platform, including the motion controller, sub-controller and PlayStation Eye camera, work together - and along with a strong line-up of software titles, will deliver an innovative and highly immersive experience on the PS3 system.

The combination of the PS3 system and PlayStation Eye Camera detects the precise movement, angle and absolute position in 3D space of the PlayStation Move: Motion Controller, allowing users to intuitively play a game as if they themselves are within the game.

The PlayStation Move: Motion Controller delivers unmatched accuracy through its advanced motion sensors, including a three axis gyroscope, a three axis accelerometer and a terrestrial magnetic field sensor, as well as a colour-changing sphere that is tracked by the PlayStation Eye Camera. With PlayStation Move, both fast and subtle motion can be detected, whether the user is swinging a tennis racket or painting with a brush.

Introducing the PlayStation Move
