Drama starring Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford. When his two youngest children are diagnosed with the rare and fatal genetic disorder Pompe Disease, John Crowley (Fraser) and his wife Aileen (Keri Russell) are heartbroken. Taking matters into his own hands, John contacts pioneering scientist Robert Stonehill (Ford), a specialist in the disease whose research could possibly lead to a cure. Together the two men form a bio-tech company in the hope of developing a life-saving drug. Their unlikely alliance gradually develops into mutual respect as they race against time and pit themselves against the medical and business establishments.
