This beautifully realised character-driven drama tells the story of Laura (Dina Korzun - Last Resort), a young Russian woman living in America with a much older man - high-living record producer and Memphis soul legend Alan James (Hollywood veteran Rip Torn). Laura lives an easy, alienated life in James's mansion on the banks of the Mississippi river, mostly spent alone or raising their infant son.
