straatbeeld 1900
Wie een kijkje zou willen nemen in de wereld rond de voor-vorige eeuwwisseling wordt met deze twee dvd's op zijn wenken bediend. Straatbeeld, kleding, werk, de eerste auto's en vooral heel veel paarden. Sommige korte feature films (Ali Baba) werden beeld voor beeld zorgvuldig ingekleurd. De eerste "bedrijfsfilms" waren voor mij het summum. Dat de verzameling in een Engels archief bewaard werd, verhindert niet dat de films van over de hele filmwereld van die tijd afkomstig zijn. Historisch interessant, maar ook puur vermaak. En je hoeft niet alles in een keer te bekijken.
