Henry Free, an animal rights movement organiser, is put on trial for murder. He refuses to name anyone else and, armed with information from an informer and some dubious forensic evidence, the police investigation implicates him in a conspiracy to destroy the building.
Lost Youth: At Marc Thompson's hospital, staff resuscitate a comatose two-year-old boy. Marc tells the child's parents that it would be in the baby's best interests if they did not resuscitate him again. The parents believe it is God's will that he should live and say they'll fight for him in court.
Gilly Bridges is rushed into hospital with breathing difficulties. She has neurone disease. Gilly's husband, Jake, is suffering from stomach cancer and has been forced to retire from the police force. They are convinced that their illnesses have been caused by a mobile phone mast that has been erected above their flats and is used by the police for internal communication. They are suing the local council and Judge John Deed hears the case.

Love this naughty judge!
The judge is weergaloos! Ik zit aan mijn stoel gekluisterd! De verhouding met Jo is mooi door de losse verhalen heen geweven en wordt (vind ik) steeds belangrijker in de serie. Daarom jammer dat de laatste twee afleveringen " One angry man" en "Heart of Darkness" ontbreken! Ik heb ze op Youtube gekeken want anders sluit series 6 niet goed aan, met name natuurlijk voor de relaties tussen Jo, John en Mark the surgeon, die in series 6 ineens was verdwenen! Overigens is One angry man inderdaad niet te pruimen, eindeloos gezever in de jurykamer. Het juridisch taalgebruik in deze serie is een uitdaging zonder de Nederlandse ondertitels, maar met de Engelse subtitles re-de-lijk te doen.
