Long ago the towns of Bluebell and Konohana were friendly neighbours, joined together by a tunnel underneath the mountain that separates the towns. Eventually the towns started to disagree with each other on whose town had the best cooking cuisine. As the villagers became more obnoxious with each other, the Harvest Goddess became more annoyed with them. One day she finally put her foot down and collapsed the tunnel between the towns, cutting them off from each other. Now the
only interaction the towns have with each other is at their cooking festival, where their cooking conflict continues four times per season.
As a new farmer, you are eager to start your new life at one of the towns but a freak travel accident makes you to forget what town you originally were going to live in! Listen to each mayor‘s story, hear about each town, and then decide where you want to start your new farm life.

Harvest Moon: A Tale of Two Towns
Harvest Moon: A Tale of Two Towns is een life simulation game waarbij je, zoals elk spel in de Harvest Moon serie, een boer of boerin speelt. Meestal is er niet echt een doel in het spel, maar in deze versie gaat het erom dat er twee steden zijn die 'ruzie' hebben. Dit is dan ook het eerste spel in de serie met een verhaallijn. Je kiest een van de twee steden en dan moet je zoveel mogelijk meedoen met de Cooking Festivals zodat de twee burgemeesters steeds minder ruzieen. Dus als je in de vorige versies de festivals maar saai vond, kun je deze beter overslaan. Er zijn weer jongens/meisjes met wie je kunt trouwen en je kunt één kind krijgen. Ik vind dat alle vrijgezellen een heel leuke persoonlijkheid hebben en dat was de belangrijkste reden dat ik het spel kocht. Nog iets nieuws is dat je nu een jongen/meisje mee uit kan vragen. Uiteindelijk is dit mijn favoriete spel uit de Harvest Moon-serie en ik denk dat je hem zeker moet uitproberen!
