Ijzersterk verhaal
Wat een mooi spel is dit...heel kort gaat het over de schrijver Alan Wake, hij heeft last van een 'writers block', gaat met zijn vrouw op vakantie maar daar aangekomen verdwijnt zij plotseling en begint Alan's 'nachtmerrie'. Waarin hij zijn vrouw probeert te vinden. Wat ik heel sterk vind aan het spel is dat er een heel sterk verhaal in zit dat door het hele spel heen loopt waarin je echt in het verhaal wordt meegenomen. Het is wel een vrij 'duister' spel - de sfeer is over het algemeen wat donker (veelal 's avonds/'s nachts maar wel heel erg mooie graphics en af en toe een wisselt het verhaal ook naar een scene overdag. De muziek, filmfragmenten en het spel zelf wisselen elkaar af en zijn goed op elkaar afgestemd; het is onderverdeeld in enkele hoofdstukken -bijna een soort film waarin jezelf meespeelt en is het moeilijk te stoppen met spelen. Echt een aanrader wat mij betreft!
