Anarchy Reigns is the eagerly awaited spiritual successor to the innovative monochrome Wii game Mad World, brought to you by Platinum. This game is the epitome of a brawler, and is an action packed third person multiplayer that practically explodes with energy. Anarchy Reigns: Limited Edition DLC
Set in the post-apocalyptic future, you play as either Jack or Leo, two men who are searching for a missing man, a renegade traitor. On your way, you will explore the desolate and ruined city of Altambra, and attempt to bring order to the anarchy there. You will also meet, and most probably do battle with, a range of both human and cyborg characters in your fight to be the ultimate survivor. Each of these characters have their own special unique abilities and super powers, as well as their own style, weapon, and signature kill move. These include the specialised weapon Gator Tooth; a double edged chainsaw, as well as the signature kill move Snow Spikes, where icicles penetrate their victim.
This game offers a wide range of multiplayer modes, including Tag Team, Death Match, Survival Mode, and Battle Royale. These offer diversity in gameplay, with Survival Mode pitting you against waves and waves of enemies, and Battle Royale as a last one standing face off. Fight your way through with exaggerated and elaborate attacks, pulverising your opponents with over the top close quarters combat being your forté. Winning is not deduced by kills, but is instead based upon the points you accumulate throughout, meaning it's a combo-focused experience.
A system that has been introduced is the Action Trigger Events (ATE) system, which triggers real time events within the game that practically turn the gameplay environment upside down. These range from Black Holes which suck players in, plane crashes, raging tsunamis, blitz bombing, and even an outbreak of mutants that gradually grow in both numbers and power, forcing the players to fight as a team in order to survive. These ATEs mean that no two matches are ever going to be the same, guaranteeing endless unexpected fun and variety. Anarchy Reigns: Online Madhouse
Anarchy Reigns komt van de studio verantwoordelijk voor titels zoals Madworld, Bayonetta en Vanquish. De kern van de game is de multiplayer. Hoewel de game ook een single player bevat draait het toch vooral om de multiplayer. In de singleplayer draait het om 2 personages (Jack Cayman: Madworld) en Leo (nieuwe character). Met deze 2 vechters doorloop je een aantal hoofdstukken in de campaign modus met een redelijk verhaal. Hoewel je hier genoeg plezier aan beleeft heeft de campaign modus een belangrijkere functie namelijk characters ontgrendelen voor de Multiplayer. Nadat je het verhaal hebt uitgespeelt zul je een heleboel characters hebben ontgrendeld die je daarna kunt gebruiken in de multiplayer waar dan de echte lol begint. Deze game heeft zo'n vette multiplayer waar alles 1 grote chaos is. In het begin zul je moeite hebben met de chaos omdat het niet zo gemakkelijk gaat zoals in de singleplayer. Maar na een tijdje zul je hier aan wennen en leren hoe je moet spelen in de multiplayer. De multiplayer bevat een aantal verschillende modussen waaronder onder andere: Klassieke Deathmatch (ieder voor zich, degene met demeeste kills wint), Team Deathmatch (team met meeste kills wint) en capture the flag. Dit zijn slechts 3 van de dertien modussen en voor ieder die van actiegames houdt zal hier genoeg lol maken. Daarom dat ik deze game 4 sterren geef en dat voor een zacht prijsje nog wel.
